If you like to indulge in an alcoholic beverage every now and then, leave your cash at home if you plan to do your consuming in a brick and mortar casino. I am not joking. clean out your handbag, your wallet, and leave all cash, debit cards and chequebooks at home. Take just the money you are planning to use on alcohol, tipping and whatever pocket coins you plan on loosing and leave the rest behind.
Contemptuous? Not really. Practical more like. You might well discover a win after a boozy night out with your friends and be fortunate enough to catch a 25 minute roll at a smokin’ craps table. Hold on to that tale because it’s as short-lived as it gets if you constantly drink and wager. The 2 just don’t mix.
Leaving your cash at home is a little drastic, however precautionary measures for dramatic behavior is proportionate and required. If you play to succeed, then don’t consume alcohol and wager. If you can afford to toss away your money without a worry, then consume all the no charge booze your gut can handle, but don’t take debit cards and checks to toss into the combination of chasing losses after your inebriated brain loses everything!
