Dice and dice games date back to the Crusades, but modern craps is approximately one hundred years old. Current craps come about from the 12th Century Anglo game referred to as Hazard. In the 18th century, when displaced by the English, the French relocated south and settled in the south of Louisiana where they after a while became Cajuns.
